Vicki at http://vicki-2bagsfull.blogspot.com
is hosting Grow Your Blog again this year
and it is so wonderful to meet old and new friends, sooo...
Hello and welcome.
I am Diane and welcome to my world of quilting.
Monday thur Friday, 8:00 to 4:30,
I am an accountant, Controller at a wholesale hardwood
lumber company.
Wife and mother to 2 sons.
The oldest 39 (does that spill the beans of my age?)
the youngest is 12 with Down Syndrome.
Kind of like having two only children.
Saturday, Sunday and any minute I can squeeze
I am a quilt maker, about 17 years, and
a longarm quilter, about 3 years.
I sometimes design my own quilts, just
so I can quilt them on my APQS longarm.
All of my quilting is freehand, no computer here,
I use rulers and templates.
(Click on the pictures for a larger view.)
I seem to make a lot of memory quilts
for people who have lost a love one.
I love to make memory quilts special with a story to tell.
Love to quilt names, date and special memories.
I also make quilts for my family (whether they want one or not)
I made this one for my son's shop.
I quilt for friends, old and new.
I have entered a few quilts in quilt shows
and have won several ribbons.
Baby quilts
T shirt quilts
wedding quilts
(Feeling like Forrest Gump now.)
Hope you look around, like what you see
and join me in my quilting adventure.
I may not post every day or every week
(remember squeezing every quilting minute)
but I do share quilting progress and completed quilts.
If you have made it this far without getting bored and leaving
let's have some fun.
GIVEAWAY!!!
Just leave me a comment
and you will be entered to win a
jelly roll and about 1 1/2 yard of Sunkissed by Sweetwater.
Beautiful fabric, came out several years ago,
just yelling to be made into a beautiful quilt or bag.
Please make sure you are not a no reply blogger or
leave your email address so that I can reach you.
Thank you for visiting and hope you decide to follow.

Love your T-shirt quilt. I just made 3 of them. A friend, Carrie, passed away from cancer and her mother asked if I would make quilts for Carrie's 2 sons and her husband out of her cancer t shirts. I made 2 queen and a throw. It was emotionally hard to do.
