As promised earlier today
I have pictures of Barbara's quilt.
Delivered the quilt to her today.
This was a quilt hard to give back.
Although, not my favorite colors, I'm more of a Primitive Gatherings or Kansas Trouble kind of person,
I love the quilt pattern and the quilting.
All Barbara could remember was the block was named
Rosebud, let me know if you know the pattern name.
Doesn't it look lovely on the bed?
My camera's battery died again, so back to the cell phone pictures.
I'll let the pictures speak....
Two different sizes of circles marked the feather spine.
I used a straight ruler for the frame lines, SID, diamonds, beadboard and crosshatching.
Everything else is freehand.
Beadboard on the border. Can really see it because
of the fabric print
Still looks good on one of my beds, although I would have to change the curtains.
Barbara loved it and was very excited.
She wants to hurry and sew the binding on so she can enter it in a local quilt show coming up soon.
Thanks for visiting.
It's a wonderful quilt.
ReplyDeleteI made several Rose Bud blocks (sometime during the past several decades), but this is the first quilt I've seen made from that block. Your quilting really enhanced it!
this is a real beauty, love the colour, seaign and as for the quilting it leaves me in awe it is so beautifully done
ReplyDeleteIt turned out so pretty. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteYour quilting is gorgeous - you chose the perfect designs for all of it. LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteThat is one BEAUTFUL QUILT AND QUILTING. Great design choice!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for picking my card as one your winners from the teddies challenge, it is such an honour.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your hard work in making the challenge so successful, it's a shame that the challenge is ending but I can totally understand your reasons and wish you all the best.
